Philosophy of Care
“I value a team based and patient centered approach to care in medicine. Often there are multiple options to treat the same problem. The right treatment depends on the patient. I strive to understand patient concerns in the context of patient values. Understanding the long and short term goals of my patients is a priority. I work with my patients as a team to create a roadmap of immediate treatment and future expectations. I encourage patients to take control of their own health and wellness so my care plan always includes patient education to explain the diagnosis and answer all questions. I use a multidisciplinary approach to sports medicine involving physical therapists, occupational therapists, specialists, trainers, coaches, and family to best treat the whole person and maintain open communication with the care team. Advocating for my patients is my top priority and I am excited to be a part of their journey in medicine.”
